Good "Letter to the Editor" by Craig
Dear Editor,
I was confused after reading the recent article written by Bob Bernick Jr and Lee Davidson headlined "Women gain most if Obama wins, Pelosi says". I read nothing that proved Speaker Pelosi's thesis let alone anything to do with Obama. I believe the headline should have read. "Dems think Utah women are uninformed and out of date." I read the article over 3 times to see exactly what "Women gain if Obama wins" and all I read was a few non sequiturs that Women in Utah are "behind the political curve", which I would agree with if that curve has made a very hard left. Also Sen. Ken Salazaar's (D - Colorado) opinion that Utah women "are where we (Colorado Democrats) were 10 years ago", I guess we can take comfort from the knowledge that Colorado's economy is where Utah's was at 10 years ago.
Sen. Salazaar followed that up with a word of encouragement, "if Colorado Democrats can make strides, so can Utah Democrats by electing pragmatic problem solvers." Maybe Sen. Salazzar was unaware that one of Adolph Hitler's favorite phrases to describe himself was a "pragmatic problem solver" or maybe he did. Either way Utah women should be well aware that the Democrats have targeted them to join the rest of the West in this millenium. Thank goodness for Nancy Pelosi.

WALL-E
It looks like Pixar couldn't resist the Left Coast pressure to make a modern day morality play on the environment. In case your not familiar with what a morality play is, here is a snippet from wikipedia:
Morality plays are a type of theatrical allegory in which the protagonist is met by personifications of various moral attributes who try to prompt him to choose a godly life over one of evil.... At the dawn of the 15th century morality plays were common throughout medieval Europe as didactic plays intended to teach good morals to their audience.
Well, I feel duly edified. I know that I have chosen the wrong course and am living the unvirtuous life. I drink Diet Coke in a big cup, I drive a big car, I sit in lounge chairs and watch TV on occasion. I'm glad I now have the opportunity to get rid of everything I believe and become a true believer. Before I do, I have a couple of observations and questions from the movie:
1. Why was the antagonist in the movie a stand in for Walmart/Corporate America? Why does Pixar (proxy for the Left) think it makes even the slightest bit of sense that a corporation would be building space ships to save humanity? Why would the CEO of the corporation be standing in front of a presidential seal sending people off to space.
I would imagine, in Pixar's mind, that it's because they see corporations taking over everything in the future. This is absurd. Corporations are under the constant assault by the true omniscient, omnipresent force, which is the government.
Pixar can't say this though, because the Lefties don't want to undermine government authority, which Progressive/Lefties see as the answer to every problem. Pass a law, write a regulation, take away any and all personal freedom.
2. The rich irony of the whole movie, about people not doing things for themselves, is the whole thing being animated by computers. If the Pixar writers are such believers,why didn't they do the whole movie by hand.
3. Why is it that Corporations are always the villain? Isn't Pixar a big corporation, belonging to an even bigger corporation, Disney? Why didn't they use some simulation of the Disney logo instead of using a Walmart simulation. I'd love to see, just once, the government or some bumbling government agency portrayed in this role. The government is never the bad guy. It's always a corporation.

Under Pressure
I think this might be proof that atmospheric pressure affects migraines. I have been migraine free all month up until about the 21st, when I started feeling the pre-migraine pressure in my head. Then I ended up getting a pretty bad one on the 24th which happens to coincide with an unusally high pressure spike on the weather station.
It may be a coincidence, but the chart definitely fits my theory. I'll continue to map this.

What is wrong with everyone?
A friend forwarded me link to this video clip regarding obamas ties to Marxism and his anti-American beliefs.
I read a lot of news and editorials and had heard or read most of the charges leveled in the video at one point or another. But to have it concisely laid out, in a compiled format, really brought home the point that obama is an America hating Marxist.
The disheartening thing is the majority of people, because of our wonderful media and school systems, have only the faintest idea of what a Marxist is.
The Marxist/Progressive/Leftist are driven by an ideological zeal to have government replace God. The Leftist drive to replace God with the state is a zeal formerly held by Christians, but which is rapidly fading under the constant onslaught brought about by the Left.
The progressives are relentless and will keep hammering away until they get what they want. The sad thing is that by the time the plodding masses figure it out, it will be too late. All personal freedom will be gone, but at least they will let you have government health care, woo-hoo!

Indiana Jones
We went and saw the latest Indiana Jones movie and came away unimpressed. Here are my biggest disappointments.
1. The heavy handed, wrongheaded statements made about how the "government is making us see communists everywhere, even in academia!" What a joke! The government, and especially academia were riddled with communists in the 50's. This has been proven by the communists own records.
2. The best Indiana Jones were biblically based, e.g. The Last Crusade, and Lost Ark. This is becasue they have a believability factor to them, whearas the crystal skull was bizarre and had only the loosest connection to any culture.
3. Indiana was just too old; 'nuff said.
